You Can’t Get to B from A

Truth is, you may need to start at Z.
Or somewhere in the middle, like M or N.

If you think linearly, that can be part of the problem (the thinking part, that is). Most times, I suspect, A to B makes perfect sense. It’s a strategy.
But if it’s your only strategy — and your goal is to get to Z — well, Heck son, you better get crackin’!

Yesterday I met Alex (I think that was his name) at Northwest Graphic Supply Co., my local art store. I came in asking about pens and highlighters and tips on better resources for this 100 Days Project. He was very helpful.
Alex is a young guy, maybe no older than mid-30s, and he seemed horrified by the idea of freestyle hand drawing (he does everything in Illustrator now).
I suddenly realized the frightening risk of publishing every crappy drawing you’ve done for 100 Days.
Then I shrugged and just got on with this…
