You Are Playing It Safe, and Everyone Knows It

Been alive long enough to know the tricks of shamers and shaming.
So my intention here is not to shame, but turn that bullshit on its head.
If you’re one of a handful of people out there who’ve pulled the Shame Card on me recently, go fuck yourself. You know who you are. And I know how that Silly-Putty Psych Parlor Game works.

Now, the world, I understand, is chock-full of so-called “other people.”
These folks have their opinions, and the particularly annoying ones like to use them as high-voltage cattle prods on potentially unsuspecting other people. They get a pleasurable jolt when they see their shaming, blaming, rancorous crap makes a dent in their intended victim.
That’s some fucked-up shit, man, and usually comes from a place of fear.

If you’re doing work that makes you a little scared and unsure — congratulations! You’re on the road to something.
I’m still certain I’m a crappy artist, but deep down I want to improve, keep trying, do better, live for another day.

So, chin-up, mates!
Get on out there and do something that will make me think: “Now there’s someone pushin’ back against the goddamned Wall of Safe Living!” (aka “The Bubble”)
