When a Toaster Is a Luxury Item

I gotta talk about The Bubble. It’s driving me bonkers. There are many aspects to Life in the Bubble, so let’s begin in the kitchen.
I had a toaster oven. I loved it. It was a parting gift from a corporate job. I often made cheesy open-face sammies in it. It made awesome toast. It died in, oh, 2014, I think.
You see, when it died I just didn’t replace it. I now make toast in the broiler. You really gotta watch it or you’ll burn those suckers.

Medium is like a toaster. I don’t need it, but it’s nice to have around. It makes things quickly. And, if you bring the strawberry jam, we can both have some lovely toast & jam.
My drawings are like a cookie sheet or baking pan. I don’t currently have one, but — again — super nice to have around. It roasts things up pretty fast.
My WordPress blog, Completely in the Dark, is a slow cooker aka “a crock pot.” It’s been around for 7 years and larger ideas marinate there. It’s my go-to creative luxury item.
I like to cook.
It’s a hobby and a skill that gives me great satisfaction.
I’ve also witnessed the pleasure it has given to others.
