The Creator Creating Among Her Creations
To hell with the Default Patriarchy.
This coming week marks an anniversary, albeit a sad one: the loss of two dear people.
On Wednesday, it’s the ninth anniversary of my mother’s death. The other loss I won’t go into just now. Suffice to say, things happened in pairs or threes that year.
Oddly, it was also one of the best years of my life (not because both my parents died, but because it was a spectacular year of personal achievement).
Anyway, I thought of this post’s title this morning before I drew Day 98’s offering (below, as usual).
This week I celebrate the women in my life: because it’s spring and I miss them all, my dear friends — and even exes. I finish 100 Days of Words and Art on Tuesday, and will be celebrating at Merlin’s Rest en route home from new job around 6 pm. If you’re in the Twin Cities, please stop by and join me!
And now, with only two days to go…
