Good talk with an artist friend. I’m planning a drawing meetup around this blog. “I won’t be there,” he said and that makes me sad, but I understand.
I understand when people die and they never come back to the dinner table.
And you’re sitting there having a meal.
How do you get up after you’ve been down?

Maybe everything published is bullshit, directed by the intent of someone who has a “master plan.”
My master plan is stay confused and explore that confusion.
See what emerges from it.
I’ve been surprised in the past, when I’ve experimented like this.
Sometimes you just have to do something/anything to realize where you’re going.

All spiral staircases and wide-eyed vacant stares. I misheard you. You said you don’t care?
We don’t have time for that. We’ve more pressing problems.

So, all I know is that going up stairs is wearying, and going down them can be contemplative and sad.
But just seeing there are stairs can make all the difference:
