East Lake Brake
My new commute takes me past a little automobile brake shop. It’s usually around 6:30 in the morning, so the spring light catches the buildings in beautiful color and shadow.
I’m slowing down at 89 (although I feel much younger than that, and actually am) and in a few days I will be enjoying life, working but also recreating — it will be the end of May.
The great thing about 100 Days of Words and Art is that it has gotten me curious about drawing again. Or seeking out formal instruction, or at least fellow artists with whom I can hang out and draw. Hoping to do that on Day 100, which should fall on Tuesday, May 23. Will have word on venue and time next week.
You should — literally — stop by.
