Dweller on the Threshold

Tomorrow, it’s over.
Even pushed through the weekend drawing until a couple pens died on me.

Not angry or frustrated or anxious or anything negative like that. Just enjoying a sense of calm and relief.
And achievement.

The timing of this ending couldn’t be more theatrical. Tonight is the anniversary of a very particularly delightful personal memory, one I refuse to recount here.
And the reason? It’s a story of grief and loss that I will write about soon or Soon.
It follows on Wednesday when, around 9:15am CST I learned my mother had died. That was nine years ago. Have a new post on that blog that will be going up Friday; it’s in edit mode just now.
But tomorrow?
Tomorrow we have a celebration and final drawing event at Merlin’s Rest in the Longfellow neighborhood of South Minneapolis. Stop by! Say hi! Have a pint and something to eat. I plan to.
For now, Day 99 of 100 Days of Words and Art…
